Many organisations offer its employees a match funding policy, which means monies raised from a charity you nominate could be matched by your employer. Companies may match the fundraising total from a particular event or fundraising activity such as a raffle. If just one parent could nominate us for their match funding, then we could potentially immediately double the quiz night profit to £3,952.72! Could you be that one parent? All you need to do is ask your employer / HR department if they offer a match funding policy, then the Friends of School can supply you with a letter detailing the date and nature of the event, together with the total raised. It really is that simple! We understand that the high street banks, building societies, supermarkets and large corporations are likely to do match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too. Please ask your employer and if it is possible to match fund, email to pta and we will provide the information you need ptafriendswatfordboys@gmail.com / info@friendsofwbgs.org
Help needed to run School Uniform Shop
As well as providing a valuable service to parents when their sons have mislaid or outgrown uniform and sports kit, the shop is also, despite charging very low prices, a huge contributor to our fundraising efforts, raising over £900 last year. We need volunteers to help run the shop weekly on Wednesdays after school and one Saturday a half term. If you are interested please get in touch on info@friendsofwbgs.org. We are also grateful for any donations of clean uniform and sports kit (including boots) in good condition – these can be left in school reception at any time. Thank you
