Match Funding – an easy way you can help us raise funds.
Match giving, or match funding, is a simple way you can help us to maximise the Friends of School fundraising efforts. Many companies offer employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by 'matching' the money they raise at an event or through an activity, such as our big raffle. The list of companies that fund match is too long for us to list here – most high street banks, building societies, supermarkets and large companies offer match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the big corporates. If you work for a small or independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too. Please ask your HR department or check your company’s intranet or employee website. If they offer match funding, we can provide the information you need and help you complete any paperwork to process the contribution easily. If you are able to help in this way please do get in touch at info@friendsofwbgs.org as this is a really simple way to make a big difference. Thank you
Help needed to run School Uniform Shop
As well as providing a valuable service to parents when their sons have mislaid or outgrown uniform and sports kit, the shop is also, despite charging very low prices, a huge contributor to our fundraising efforts, raising over £900 last year. We need volunteers to help run the shop weekly on Wednesdays after school and one Saturday a half term. If you are interested please get in touch on info@friendsofwbgs.org. We are also grateful for any donations of clean uniform and sports kit (including boots) in good condition – these can be left in school reception at any time. Thank you
